LB apylinkių tinklas yra išsidriekęs per visą Ameriką. Šio plataus tinklo nariai savo gyvenimą praturtina lietuviška veikla ir daug kur jai vadovauja. LB dėka gyvuoja lietuviškos mokyklėlės, tautinių šokių šventės (vėliausia 2008 m.) ir dainų šventės (vėliausia 2006 m.), susirinkimai, parengimai, minėjimai, koncertai, “Paguodos telefonas.” LB atstovai porą kartų į metus skrenda į Vilnių posėdžiauti su Lietuvos seimo nariais.
 
Arčiausią LB apylinkę rasite per LB tinklapį (www.lietuviu-bendruomene.org). O jeigu arti LB apylinkės nėra, pasitarkit su LB Krašto valdyba ir įsteikite LB apylinkę. Taip per keletą porą pastarųjų metų atsirado naujos LB apylinkės Texas, Missouri, Florida (dvi), Illinois ir North Carolina valstijose. Penkios iš naujųjų LB apylinkų buvo įsteigtos “trečiabangių”.

EVERYONE OF LITHUANIAN DESCENT

and their non-Lithuanian spouse belongs to the Lithuanian American community just because of their heritage. But if you wish to get more out of your heritage, join the Lithuanian American Community, Inc. or LAC.

LAC activities are conducted in Lithuanian, where possible, but English-only members are welcome. In fact, LAC is looking for entrepreneurial individuals to start English-speaking sections at the local LAC chapters.

You will get involved in folk dancing (and will participate in Lithuanian Folkdance Festivals, like in 2008 in Los Angeles), singing (people are still talking about the superb Lithuanian Song Festival in Chicago in 2006, available on DVD), learning Lithuanian language and culture (subscribe to Bridges), sending your children to Lithuanian heritage summer camps, participating in sports meets, enjoying concerts and exhibits by Lithuanian artists. LAC interests are as varied as LAC members and extend across the Atlantic to Lithuania by way of civic and charitable projects. Five members of the LAC Board of Directors serve on the Lithuanian Parliament-Lithuanian World Community Commission with hearings in Vilnius.

So, add some Lithuanian sparkle to your American life and forge new bonds of camaraderie and friendship with others of Lithuanian descent.
